This notice explains what personal data ENVIRO CONTRACTS LTD collects through this website and when you contact us, why, and what rights you have.

Who we are

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. Please send any question about your data to the email address above.

What we collect and why

• When you send us a brief through this website: your name, email address, phone number, postcode (if you give it), the service you need and the details you write. We use them to reply to you, to assess the job and to prepare a quote. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
• When you email or phone us: the details you give us, for the same purposes and on the same basis.
• When you visit this website: our web server records your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, and the name and version of your browser. We use these records only to keep the website working and secure and to block abuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
• If you become a customer: our correspondence with you and the records of the work, so that we can carry it out, meet our legal obligations such as keeping tax records, and deal with any later question or dispute. Our legal bases are our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)), our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)) and our legitimate interest in being able to show what was agreed (Article 6(1)(f)).

You do not have to give us your details, but we cannot reply to you without a way to contact you. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for marketing, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies on your device and stores nothing else there. It has no analytics, advertising or social-media trackers, and its fonts are served from our own server, so your visit is not shared with anyone else. If a member of our team logs in to manage the website, WordPress sets cookies on their device that are strictly necessary for that login.

Who we share it with

We share your data only with the service providers we need to run this website and our email, who act on our instructions:

• EUGameHost Ltd, which hosts this website on a server in its data centre in the United Kingdom;
• Microsoft, which provides our email (Microsoft 365, supplied through GoDaddy). Each brief you send is also emailed to us, so it is held in our mailbox;
• the web developer who built and maintains this website for us.

We may also share data with our professional advisers, and with public authorities where the law requires it.

Microsoft may process email data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where it does, the transfer is covered by UK data protection law: by the UK's data bridge with the United States, or by the safeguards in Microsoft's data protection terms.

How long we keep it

• Briefs sent through this website are deleted from the website automatically 12 months after we receive them. We keep the email copies of enquiries that do not lead to work for no longer than 12 months either.
• Records of customers and of the work we do are kept for six years after the work ends, because of tax rules and legal time limits for claims.
• Web server records are deleted after 14 days.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, object to how we use it, and ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. Email info@envirocontracts.com. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to complain to us. Email info@envirocontracts.com with “Data protection complaint” in the subject line, or write to our registered office. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, and tell you the outcome.

You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commission (known as the ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.

How we protect it

This website is only served over an encrypted connection. Briefs are stored on our server in the United Kingdom and can be read only by the people we authorise, who log in with their own account.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice if the way we use personal data changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
